Otis R Florence

As CEO of Business Brokers & Consultants, Otis Florence has made personal service, trust, and confidentiality the Firm’s primary objectives.

Florence is an Accredited Business Intermediary, and Licensed Real Estate Broker with over 36 years of experience. He is widely respected as the founder of Louisville’s oldest privately-held business brokerage firm.  Florence began his career as a business owner himself.  He started-up, managed and sold several of his own main street  business ventures prior to making business brokerage his full-time career.  As such, he brings to the table a keen understanding of acquisition, as well as the complex factors involved in owning and operating small and mid-market business.  He offers buyers and sellers an educated perspective of the value drivers behind each individual business and understands how to maximize their worth at the time of sale.

Over the past decades Florence has personally closed hundreds of acquisitions. His extensive experience in the field, sound negotiating skills, and experience as a business owner make him an outstanding intermediary.

Her background includes process engineering for several start-up companies and working as a financial analyst since the early 1990’s . She is an Accredited Business Intermediary (ABBA) and Licensed Kentucky Real Estate Agent. Pamela has coupled these skills with considerable experience in budgeting, marketing and financial analytics to help build Business Brokers & Consultants. She has worked with the company since 1998, helping business owners prepare their companies for market and buyers transition smoothly into their new role of ownership.

Chris proudly served in the United States Army for 10 years, and learned many valuable leadership qualities in officer’s school. Chris has worked in sales for almost twenty years, but is an entrepreneur at heart. He has also owned several businesses himself and successful sold his own business. Chris has worked with the company since 2018, helping business owners prepare their companies for market and buyers transition smoothly into their new role of ownership.

Chris was born and raised in Anderson, South Carolina and is married to his college sweetheart. He is the proud father of two wonderful boys.

Steve Heggie

Steve has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and successful business owner.  Prior to joining the team at Business Brokers & Consultants in 2024,  he was the  Owner & CEO of a lucrative Automotive Service Center, which he grew from a main-street operation to a multi-million dollar operation.  With an extensive background in Management, Banking and Customer Service, Steve is also a life-long student of business. He keeps up-to-date on local events and economic development in order to better serve the business owners he represents. He is active in the local community and is currently a Board Member of Oldham County Economic Development.  Steve excels in problem solving and is always looking for ways to get things accomplished for the Customer.
We are proud to say that Steve purchased his successful Automotive Business from Business Brokers and Consultants back in 2001 and enlisted BB&C’s services again in 2023 when he decided to sell.
Steve is married, has three children, and was born and raised in the local area.
